Remember when you thought power steering made your life easier? Just wait until you try Assisted Steering! Ag Leader’s EZ-Steer assisted steering system does the work for you by automatically steering your vehicle through the field, allowing you to focus on other tasks such as implement performance, or boom control, while greatly reducing driver fatigue. The EZ-Steer System uses guidance from the EZ-Guide Plus Lightbar and automatically turns the steering wheel for you. The EZ-Steer system is perfect for tillage, spreading, spraying, and harvesting operations. For higher accuracy applications such as planting, couple the EZ-Steer system with the GPS 5100 receiver and OmniSTAR® XP or OmniSTAR® HP™ differential corrections. The simplicity of the EZ-Steer System makes it the most affordable system on the market today. The Electronic Motor Drive (EMD) takes the complexity and expense of traditional hydraulic automated steering systems out of the equation. While other systems require you to integrate into vehicle hydraulic systems, the EZ-Steer system can be quickly installed and transferred between vehicles by simply bolting to the steering column. Installation can be done in most applications in less than 15 minutes and only requires one wrench. While the EZ-Steer system is simple and inexpensive, it’s certainly not lacking features. The EZ-Steer system is capable of performing both straight line and contour guidance. Many assisted/automated steering systems on the market today lack contour guidance. The EZ-Steer system has it today! The benefits of assisted steering really shine when performing contour guidance in conjunction with the EZ-Steer system. It’s as simple as driving your first pass and then sitting back and letting the EZ-Steer system take over the duties across the rest of the field. When you get to the end of the pass, simply turn the wheel and EZ-Steer will disengage, allowing you to turn into your next pass and repeat. You’ll never believe how EZ it can be! Ag Leader’s exclusive T2™ Terrain Compensation Technology gives the EZ-Steer user +/- 6 – 8 inch pass-to-pass accuracy and smooth hands-free driving on rolling, sloping and rough terrain such as ditches, waterways and terraces. Even on flat, smooth ground the T2 Terrain Compensation Technology provides remarkable improved accuracy and operation. This optional feature uses two accelerometers and two gyroscopes to compensate for roll and yaw Information from these sensors, located in the steering controller, is used at 10 times per second to compensate the GPS position for sloping and rough terrain – as illustrated by the diagrams.
